MechHire Privacy Policy
Last updated: 28 July 2026
This policy explains how MechHire handles information for candidates, employers, mentors, administrators, learners, and creators using the platform.
Information we collect
We collect account details, profile details, resumes, job applications, saved jobs, employer company details, mentor profile details, learning activity, uploaded learning videos, booking requests, course progress, certificate records, reports, support messages, and basic technical information needed to run and secure the platform.
How we use information
We use this information to operate the mechanical hiring marketplace, personalize job and learning recommendations, let employers review permitted candidate information, support mentor bookings, approve learning content, prevent fraud and abuse, improve product quality, and send important account, booking, application, course, and security updates.
Candidate visibility and employer access
Candidate profiles are private by default unless profile visibility/searchability is enabled. Employers can access candidate contact details and resumes only through applications, candidate unlocks, access limits, candidate settings, and audit-logged platform rules. Employers must use candidate data only for legitimate hiring activity.
Resumes and uploaded files
Uploaded resumes and documents may contain personal information chosen by the candidate. MechHire stores resumes in private storage and applies validation, access controls, and audit logging. Resume content is not currently extracted automatically; candidates control the profile information they enter and share.
Employers, mentors, creators, and content
Employer job posts, company information, mentor profiles, courses, uploaded videos, and reports may be reviewed by MechHire before or after they appear publicly. We may remove content that is inaccurate, unsafe, spammy, infringing, or not relevant to mechanical hiring and learning.
Service providers
MechHire uses service providers such as Supabase for authentication, database, and storage; Vercel or equivalent hosting for deployment; Resend or equivalent providers for transactional email; Zoho or equivalent providers for support email; and Cloudflare Turnstile or equivalent anti-abuse tools for bot protection. Payment providers are used only if paid flows are enabled. We do not sell personal profile data.
Analytics and monitoring
We use basic privacy-conscious analytics, health checks, logs, and audit events to understand product usage, reliability, abuse, and security. Analytics should not expose private resumes, private candidate contact information, payment secrets, passwords, or full sensitive documents.
Data retention, export, and deletion
Users can update profile information from their dashboards. Export, correction, deletion, or account restriction questions can be sent to support@mechhire.com from the registered email address. Some records may be retained where needed for security, audit, dispute handling, tax, payment, fraud prevention, backup, or legal obligations.
Security
We use authentication, role-based access, database security policies, validation, upload restrictions, audit logs, rate limits, backup/export routines, and operational monitoring. No internet platform is risk-free, so users should avoid uploading unnecessary sensitive information.
Children and eligibility
MechHire is intended for students, professionals, employers, mentors, and adult users who can lawfully use a hiring and learning platform. Users should not create accounts or upload personal information if they are not legally allowed to use the service in their location.
